Baptism is the act by which a person publicly confesses Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, thus identifying with Christ and His church. It is an outward action that proclaims an inward change of heart. It is a dramatic way of saying that I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

We as a church practice believer’s baptism by immersion. As a result, we sometimes will baptize, as an adult, someone who was baptized as an infant. However, we do not require you to be baptized again nor will we pressure you to be. We welcome persons baptized as an adult and those as infants into our church. If you were baptized as an infant but would like the opportunity to affirm your faith in Jesus Christ publicly, please speak directly with a pastor.

If you are considering being baptized, let a pastor or church staff member know and complete the study guide (available for download below or as a hard copy in the literature rack near the Church Life Centre in the lobby). This guide will help you explore the meaning, method, and importance of baptism before you take this next step of your spiritual journey. Please don’t hesitate to contact the church office if you have any questions.
