Family Ministries Events

We believe that the family is God’s design and that parents are the primary vehicle for passing along faith for generations. Our mission in Family and Children’s Ministries is to come along side parents and hold you up as you take on one of the most challenging (but rewarding!) jobs God will ever ask of you. We want to partner with you as you teach and disciple your children throughout their spiritual journey. Besides working to make Sunday mornings the best hour of your kids' week, we want to provide opportunities to strengthen your family with fun times together, support you in your role as a parent (whether you are a single parent or have the support of a partner) and to build up marriages. Take a look at what's coming up:

FX* (because family matters)

Family eXperience (FX*) is a monthly event geared for families with elementary age children (preschoolers and teens are also welcome!). Join us for an evening of crazy fun, food, and practical discussions designed to strengthen your family.

The last FX* for the year will be Friday, June 1.

GROW :: for Mothers & Daughters | Saturday, May 26

Building relationships through fun, food, and friendship! Brunch, crafts, and other fun. 10:30-2:00 at the church.

FATHER & SON CAMP-OUT | June 8-10

Deepen your friendship and commitment to your son and build community with other dads

$20 per person including food and campsite for the weekend. More details here.

CHILD DEDICATION | Sunday, May 13

Dedicating a child is an opportunity for parents to publicly express their thanks to God and to declare their desire to dedicate themselves to the task of parenting, asking for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities, recognizing that these responsibilities rest primarily with them as parents and in partnership with the church.

Dedications take place during regular services, three times a year. The next dedication service will be on Thanksgiving weekend.

KIDVENTURE KINGDOM SEEKERS

Every week we send home a printed discussion guide with your child to help you leverage what your kids learned at KidVenture on Sunday. The focus of the lesson, a memory verse, the key idea and a question are supplied weekly for you to use in everyday life with your children. Read the passage with your kids aloud or work at memorizing the verse.  Write the discussion question on a board or piece of paper and encourage your children to respond, use it as a conversation starter to aid in teaching your children about what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
