EFCL is a large church, and if you've already attended a service at EFCL, you may be wondering how to find your place here. Over and over again we hear that once people meet a few friends and begin to get involved, the church really doesn't seem as big anymore. Here's some great ways to get started:
Information Centre: Visit the Info Centre to ask any questions and fill out a Connection Card. These cards are one way we can start getting to know you and your interests and will help us help you get connected!
Meet the Lawsons: Pastor Ian and Connie host informal, get-to-know-you evenings in their home the last Sunday of every month at 8:00 pm. These evenings are geared toward newcomers but all are welcome. This is a great way to visit with our lead pastoral couple, ask your questions, and meet other folks new to the church. Please contact the church office to pre-register (329-3125).
The following Connections booklet will give you an overview of what's happening this year at EFCL:
NOTE: Since publication of Connections, we have replaced the Newcomers' Orientations and Luncheons with the opportunity to visit the Lawsons' home.
Small Groups: We encourage everyone who is a part of E-Free to join a small group. These groups of 8-15 people meet regularly to hang out, study the Bible, pray, serve together and encourage one another. Contact Pastor Scott for more details (403-329-3125 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).
Serving Opportunities: One of the best ways to start putting down roots is to serve in a ministry area that fits with your gifts, interests, and passions. On Sundays you can visit the Serving Opportunities Centre in the church lobby or contact Pastor Steve (403-329-3125 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. When you are ready to settle in at E-Free, we invite you to sign up for Freemail (our monthly e-newsletter) and the phone directory by following the links or contacting the church office.
