Facing Pornography

As a church we recognize that pornography has come between husbands and wives, parents and children, and pastors and their congregations. Churches around the world are developing support groups for men, women, and youth, to equip them with the tools to resist and flee from sexual sin, specifically pornography.

“Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.” (1 Peter 2:11)

We want to give you the support that you need.

Common issues that people in our church deal with:

• Is porn really an issue?

• Is porn an ‘addiction’?

• Increased loneliness surrounding the struggle.

• Increased guilt which leads to an increased need to view more.

• Insecurity of spouses, fear of confession, powerlessness of parents.

• A general lack of education regarding the prevalence of the problem, how serious it is,      and how the addiction/struggle works.

• A general lack of support.

• An unwillingness to talk about the issue, and to wholly and irrevocably depend upon the    strength of Jesus Christ.

We believe that one important tactic in this battle is confession and accountability.
