Sunday Programs

Nursery Care is available at all services - 9:15, 11:00, and 6:00. SonShine Kids and KidVenture are available at the 9:15 and 11:00 services.

We value children and believe even at a very young age, they can experience God’s love and begin to learn about their creator. We offer the following programs which are designed especially for children to learn about and worship God:

Nursery (birth - age 2)

Our nursery is divided into two rooms - "Crawlers" and "Walkers" - well equipped with everything needed to provide a fun and safe environment for your child. There is sleeping room, nursing room, and washroom in our secure nursery area.

Sonshine Kids (age 2 - Kindergarten)

Once you've picked up your two-part security tags at the Kids' Zone desk, you will take your child to the designated room for his/her age. Friendly Kids' Zone staff will be on hand to welcome your child and help them settle in with fun activities like puzzles, cars, and floam until the class starts. The class will then join all the other Sonshine Kids for a large group time of stories and singing. Then they will return to their classroom for crafts and snack (the snack for the day is posted on the door, please alert the teacher if you have any concerns.) You may pick up your child following the service from the classroom where you dropped him off. Please have your parent tag ready in order to claim your child.

KidVenture (grades 1 - 5)

After you've picked up your parent/child tags at the Kids' Zone desk, you can take your child to the appropriate room: at 9:15 grades 1-3 meet together in the Kids' Zone while grades 4-5 meet upstairs in the youth room. (Please ask at the Kids' Zone desk if you need directions.); at 11:00, grades 1-5 meet as one large group in the Kids' Zone. A dynamic worship time, story-telling, drama, and service projects as a large group are then discussed and reinforced in small groups divided by grade and gender.

Sonshine Kids and KidVenture both study the same story, shared age-appropriately, and each child takes home a sheet with ideas, discussion questions, and memory verses to help you reinforce the lesson at home during the week.

 
• If you are attending as a guest, we encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes before the service to sign your child in and help them settle before you head in to the service.
• Safety - Your child’s security and safety are important to us. Every child age is issued a two-part security name tag to ensure a safe environment and to give our staff a way to contact parents if needed during the morning. If at any time your child needs to be taken to the washroom or needs you, your number will be posted on the LED screen in the Worship Centre and gym.
• Wellness Policy - In order to provide a clean, germ free environment, we ask that children who are ill do not participate in our programs until they are feeling better.
